Introducing Strategic Relocation Solutions LLC

Strategic Relocation Solutions grew out of personal experience and a passion to connect people.

A nomadic childhood gave me an appreciation of the challenges families often face when relocating. Fast forward several decades. After building a successful career on the East Coast, my own family relocated from Connecticut to Des Moines in the fall of 2000. We knew no one. My husband was busy with his new job. I had to figure out the community on my own.

I applied my years of experience in marketing and research to an “anthropological approach” to our new hometown – reading the local newspapers online, researching events and attractions, and so on. A network of personal and professional contacts quickly developed, fostering a broad and deep connection to the community in just a few months.

The key to this kind of rich and successful transition is networking, which facilitates the kinds of relationships that make a new place feel like home. I discovered that I’m a natural “connector”, quickly building a reputation for making meaningful introductions and for being a community resource to newcomers. It was an opportunity to address an unfilled but critical niche in the Greater Des Moines business community – helping companies be more successful in both recruiting and retaining key people and easing the transition of the families of those recruits so they embraced their new communities.

At Strategic Relocation Solutions we are not realtors, we’re not recruiters and we’re not the Welcome Wagon! We are community engagement specialists. We’ve become the “go-to” resource for businesses who are truly committed to their strategic recruitment and retention objectives.
